On the afternoon of September 11, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited the Central Campus (also known as the Nanning Yutai School, Guangxi, China).

During his visit to attend the opening ceremony of the 13th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit (CABIS) in Guangxi, on the afternoon of September 11, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited the Central Campus (also known as the Yucai School in Nanning, Guangxi) - a historical testament to the "both comrade and brother" relationship between China and Vietnam.

In the early 1950s, the Vietnamese people's resistance war against the French was nearing victory. The urgent requirement for the Party and State at that time was to quickly train a team of capable and talented cadres to serve the new tasks of the Vietnamese revolution. President Ho Chi Minh, on behalf of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, proposed to Chinese Chairman Mao Zedong that Vietnam build a school to train revolutionary cadres in the suburbs of Nanning City, Guangxi. This proposal was accepted by the Chinese side.

The school successively established 7 branches including junior college of basic sciences, senior teacher training school, intermediate natural science teacher training school, intermediate social science teacher training school, elementary teacher training school... and other general schools such as high schools, primary schools and kindergartens, gradually building a complete education system from kindergarten to university. The first class of Vietnamese students sent over consisted of 257 people, including 101 revolutionary cadres. From then on, the Central Campus was established in 1951, also known as the Duc Tai School in Nanning (Guangxi). Students of Duc Tai School at that time were cadres and youth sent over from all over the country, directly managed and trained by Vietnam, with China providing advice and logistics support.

In 1954, the school moved to a new area (now the West area of Guangxi University). By September 1957, it was completely moved to Vietnam. During its existence, Duc Tai School trained about 7,000 cadres, teachers and students, many of whom later became leaders, diplomats, economists, scientists, musicians, poets and writers with national reputations such as: former Politburo member, Head of the Central Organization Committee Tran Dinh Hoan; former Party Central Committee Secretary, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Khoan; former Chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Affairs Committee Vu Mao...

In November 1963, to express gratitude for the dedicated help of the staff and teachers of Duc Tai Nam Ninh School in the past, the Vietnamese Government decided to award the Labor Medal to the school's outstanding Chinese teachers and staff. The Central Campus is also the beloved school that trained thousands of highly qualified teachers and students during the resistance war to return to serve the Fatherland.
