(Baonghean.vn) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc pointed out the shortcomings, limitations and tasks that the Judiciary sector needs to perform in 2021 and the 2021-2025 period.
On the morning of December 23, the Ministry of Justice held an online conference to deploy judicial work in 2021, orienting the 2021-2025 term. Attending and directing the conference were comrade Nguyen Xuan Phuc - Politburo member, Prime Minister. Attending were comrade Phan Dinh Trac - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission; comrades of the Party Central Committee and representatives of leaders of central departments, ministries and branches; leaders of localities and related departments and branches at the connection points.

Better protection of the nation's judiciary
Attending and directing the conference, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc commended and acknowledged the achievements of the Judicial sector in recent times; affirming that, in the spirit of democratic discipline, law-making is an important foundation for national development. In 2020, under the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, many difficulties were posed to the Judicial sector, but with the outstanding efforts of the entire political system, great results were achieved. In addition, the Prime Minister also pointed out a number of shortcomings and limitations that the Judicial sector needs to overcome to improve work efficiency.
The Prime Minister also emphasized that the industryJusticeIt is necessary to carry out tasks in the spirit of "watching carefully, scrutinizing closely, putting national interests above all, doing more, understanding more and advising better".
The Ministry of Justice and the Departments of Justice need to regularly review to avoid overlapping legal documents; not to allow corruption and vested interests in the development of the legal document system. Further innovate and reform the public service system in the judicial sector. The agencies and people of the judicial sector are very important, and need to be exemplary, dedicated, and set an example, helping localities to pay more attention to and more properly enforce the legitimate rights and interests of the people, and better protect the judicial system of Vietnam.

Removing "bottlenecks" in judicial work
Previously, the conference assessed the results of judicial work in 2020, term 2015-2020; orientation for the term 2021-2025 and key tasks for 2021. Delegates listened to topics on: Implementation of Directive No. 43/CT-TTg dated December 11, 2020 of the Prime Minister on improving the quality of work on building and perfecting the legal system and enhancing the effectiveness of law enforcement; Issues to note in preparing for the implementation of the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Handling of Administrative Violations and continuing to implement Decree No. 19/2020/ND-CP dated February 12, 2020 on inspection and disciplinary action in the enforcement of laws on handling of administrative violations; Solutions to improve the effectiveness of administrative judgment enforcement. Promote the role of local judicial agencies in advising Party committees and authorities in carrying out socio-economic development tasks in the area.
In 2020, despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Ministry of Justice promptly directed the review and adjustment of work programs and plans to suit new conditions, including limiting the organization of conferences, seminars, talks, training sessions and inspection delegations.check; increase online meetings and instructions, closely follow the epidemic situation, policies of the Government, Prime Minister, National Steering Committee on Covid-19 Prevention and Control to direct and guide work; focus on promoting institutional building, strengthening professional and technical guidance, resolving difficulties and problems of localities, people and businesses.

Coordination between the Ministry of Justice and ministries, branches, localities and between the Departments of Justice, the Civil Judgment Enforcement Agency and departments and branches continues to be focused on and strengthened, thereby promptly removing "bottlenecks", obstacles, difficulties and speeding up the implementation of assigned tasks.
The exchange, direction, and professional and technical guidance between the Ministry of Justice and ministries, branches, and localities are carried out smoothly and closely in the direction and administration of judicial and legal work at all levels.
In 2020, the Ministry received and responded to 626 recommendations and requests for professional guidance from ministries, branches and localities (of which, 140 recommendations were sent through 6-month summary reports; 193 recommendations were sent through final reports); received and responded to 40 reflections and recommendations from people and businesses sent through the National Public Service Portal.
The reflections and recommendations have been responded to and accepted by the units under the Ministry of Research in the process of institution building and advising on state management in each specific field.
