Prime Minister presses button to start construction of tallest tower in the Northern coastal region

On the afternoon of September 18, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc pressed the button to start construction of a 45-storey tower in the Vinhomes Riva City - Hai Phong urban area invested by Vingroup.

With a height of 148m, this tower is considered the tallest building in the Northern coastal region to date and will be the new symbol of Hai Phong city in the future.

The tower is located in a modern commercial and service center complex, including the first 5-star hotel in Hai Phong with a total area of ​​over 30,000m2.

This project was designed by Humphrey & Partners Design Consulting Company (USA), consisting of two parts with a 150m long base, a winding structure simulating a flowing river.

The center of the building is a 45-story cylinder with a total height of 148m. The building is covered with green glass that is energy-saving and environmentally friendly.

From the 4th to the 45th floor of this tower will be the Vinpearl Hotel City with 300 rooms, meeting international 5-star standards. The 3rd floor of the tower is the hotel's high-class service area, including luxury restaurants, gyms, spa services... This is also the floor with the indoor and outdoor swimming pool system.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tung - Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee - affirmed that the groundbreaking of the project will contribute to changing the face and promoting the development of the city.

Mr. Tung requested the investor to focus human and material resources to complete the project on schedule, ensure quality and especially ensure labor safety during project implementation.

The shopping mall complex is expected to be completed by the end of 2017 and the hotel will be put into operation from the end of 2018.
