Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh offers incense to commemorate Gac Ma martyrs
Continuing his working trip to Khanh Hoa province, on the afternoon of March 12, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his delegation conducted a field survey in Cam Lam district; offered incense to commemorate heroic martyrs at the Gac Ma Soldier Memorial Site and visited and presented gifts to forces of Vietnam People's Navy Region 4.
Conducting a field survey in Cam Lam district, after hearing the introduction of the planning orientation for the construction of Cam Lam airport urban area in the spirit of Resolution 09 of the Politburo on the development of Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested the construction of the planning and urban area of Cam Lam airport to "transform" Cam Lam from a rural, mountainous area into a modern, green and smart city. Accordingly, this place must become a leading center for tourism, services, intelligence, education and medicine.
The Head of Government requested sectors, localities, and investors to urgently carry out planning and investment procedures in accordance with the law, build resettlement areas for people in advance, ensuring uniformity and quality; preserve and promote the culture of local people; create jobs and long-term livelihoods for people; ensure that the material and spiritual life of people in the project area is better than their old place of residence, so that people can benefit from and support the project..., on the principle of ensuring the harmony of interests of the State, people, and businesses.
“This is a difficult task, so we must coordinate, discuss, be open-minded, and listen to each other's opinions; do the easy first, the difficult later; turn the impossible into the possible, turn the difficult into the easy, and turn the impossible into the possible,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
* On the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the day 64 Vietnamese People's Navy soldiers on Gac Ma Island, part of Vietnam's Truong Sa archipelago sacrificed their lives, becoming an immortal circle, protecting the Fatherland (March 14, 1988 - March 14, 2022), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh offered incense to commemorate and pay tribute to the martyrs at the Gac Ma Soldiers Memorial Area in Cam Hai Dong Commune, Cam Lam District.
Writing in the memorial book, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that the 64 soldiers of the Vietnam People's Navy who bravely and selflessly protected the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland are shining examples of revolutionary heroism, adding to the glorious tradition of the Vietnamese people.
* Also this afternoon, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited, presented gifts, and encouraged officers and soldiers of Submarine Brigade 189 and Brigade 162, Naval Region 4.

The Prime Minister hopes that officers and soldiers will continue to uphold the tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Navy; further improve the quality of training, overall strength and combat readiness; closely coordinate with relevant forces in performing tasks; continue to build internal solidarity, proactively develop plans to be ready to carry out tasks; resolutely avoid being passive or surprised; and successfully complete the task of protecting the Fatherland's sovereignty.
