Speaking at the working sessions with Bac Giang province, the Prime Minister said that after the national online conference that morning, he wanted to directly learn about the actual situation in the locality from April 27 to present, the results achieved, the things that have not been done well in the fight against the epidemic, the causes, forecast the situation and tasks and solutions for the coming time.

The Prime Minister suggested that the province needs to understand and grasp the actual situation to resolve the issue, in the spirit of both fighting the epidemic, developing the socio-economy, and ensuring the school year is completed.

Actively fighting the epidemic, restarting 4 industrial parks

Reporting to the Prime Minister, Secretary of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee Duong Van Thai said that in recent days, the province has improved its epidemic prevention capacity at all stages, such as increasing the testing capacity from 14,000 samples to 20,000 samples/day; arranging 13 treatment areas for Covid-19 patients with a total capacity of 3,600 beds, continuing to survey and prepare new facilities to accommodate about 1,800 more beds...

It is forecasted that in the coming days, the number of F0 cases will continue to increase because the province is currently focusing on conducting the third and fourth tests in key areas and high-risk subjects. The newly discovered F0 cases have mainly been isolated, locked down, and medically monitored, with little possibility of widespread spread.

Along with the fight against the epidemic, the province has implemented solutions to maintain production and business, issued plans to reorganize production activities in 4 industrial parks in the area and organize the consumption of lychees, initially achieving positive results; taking care of the lives of workers and laborers... By May 29, 2 enterprises had started working again andAs of May 31, there are 2 more businesses.

The province pointed out some difficulties such as the first outbreak in an industrial park, so there was no experience in responding. In the early stages, the province's testing capacity was limited; the thin medical force could not meet the progress of large-scale, large-volume sample collection. Supplies, chemicals, and equipment for epidemic prevention and control were lacking and difficult. Treatment capacity was limited, the province's medical team did not have much experience in treatment, and there were not enough intensive care areas for seriously ill patients.

From the province's epidemic prevention work in the past time, we can draw experiences such as: to prevent epidemics at production facilities, workplaces need to implement social distancing and ventilation; electronic enterprises need to divide into small groups to produce and live together; shuttle buses for workers need to be fixed according to a specific list of each person, each bus must return by the same bus...

Responding to Bac Giang's petitions, Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang said: The Ministry has prioritized 4 testing laboratories for Bac Giang, helping the province detect nearly 1,000 positive cases. Army Corps 2 will immediately receive 2,300 workers who are being quarantined in Van Trung Industrial Park at the province's request. The army is also ready to carry out the task of disinfecting Bac Giang and other localities to the best of its ability.

Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son said that currently, a force of 1,400 people including medical staff, students, military, and police are present on the front line against the epidemic in Bac Giang. In the context of the epidemic potentially spreading widely, medical universities across the country have about 23,000 students ready to go and all localities are also ready to support Bac Giang. The Deputy Minister said that within the next 7 to 10 days, the injection of the allocated vaccine to workers in Bac Giang must be completed, mobilizing 1,000 students of Bach Mai Nursing College for this.

Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung basically agreed with the recommendations and proposals of the province, in which the Ministry agreed to immediately use the child protection fund to take care of all 4,803 children being quarantined nationwide.

The Prime Minister noted that the entire political system must participate in this work, in which mobilizing the political system at the grassroots level is very important to grasp the situation, assess the situation and organize the implementation of solutions. The grassroots Party committees and authorities are the core, together with the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations, creating conditions for the people to actively participate in the fight against the epidemic. Regarding this content, Minister Phan Van Giang said that he will immediately add 1 more testing laboratory to Bac Giang.
