The Prime Minister will attend the ASEAN Summit in Brunei.

According to a Ministry of Foreign Affairs press release dated April 21, 2013, at the invitation of the Sultan of Brunei Hassanal Bolkiah, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will lead the Vietnamese delegation to attend the 22nd ASEAN Summit, held in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, from April 24-25, 2013.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Quang Vinh stated that the 22nd ASEAN Summit was the first Summit of 2013 with the theme "ASEAN - Our People and Our Future."

At the Summit, ASEAN Leaders are expected to discuss four main topics: ASEAN's orientation and priorities for 2013; ASEAN's orientation from now until 2015 and beyond; accelerating the process of building the ASEAN Community; enhancing ASEAN's leading role in important regional issues and the evolving regional structure; and international and regional issues of common concern.
