Prime Minister reappoints 2 Deputy Ministers

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has just signed decisions to reappoint Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Viet Tien and Deputy Inspector General of the Government Le Thi Thuy.

Specifically, in Decision No. 2189/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister decided to re-appoint Mr. Nguyen Viet Tien to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Health.

In Decision No. 2190/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister decided to temporarily re-appoint Ms. Le Thi Thuy to hold the position of Deputy Inspector General of the Government. According to current regulations, the position of Deputy Inspector General of the Government enjoys the same benefits and salary levels as that of a deputy minister.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Tien was born in 1959 in Ha Tinh, is a Professor and Doctor of Medicine. Mr. Tien held the position of Director of the Central Maternity Hospital before being appointed Deputy Minister of Health.

Ms. Le Thi Thuy was born in 1964 in Nghe An, and was a National Assembly Delegate, Chairwoman of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, and Chief Inspector of Nghe An Province. Ms. Thuy was appointed Deputy Inspector General of the Government in October 2010.
