The Prime Minister awarded a certificate of commendation to the employee who returned 1 billion VND.

Having found a large sum of money, even though no one saw her and it was raining, Ms. Anh decided to pull over to the side of the road to wait for the person who lost it to come and retrieve it.

On May 10th, Da Nang Power Company announced that Ms. Tran Thi Anh, a female employee of Son Tra District Power Company (Da Nang City), had just been awarded a certificate of commendation by the Prime Minister.

Accordingly, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc issued Decision No. 601/QD-TTg on May 4th, awarding a certificate of commendation to Ms. Anh for her commendable act of returning 1 billion VND to the person who lost it.

Previously, on February 24, 2017, while on her way home from work, Ms. Anh found a plastic bag containing a large amount of cash and a box of preserved plums. Although she saw no one on the road and it was raining, Ms. Anh decided to pull over and wait for the owner to come and claim it.

Shortly after, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thu (from Hanoi), the person who lost the money, received back the full amount of 1 billion VND she had dropped.

It is known that immediately after the incident was reported, the leaders of the Central Vietnam Power Corporation also organized a ceremony to commend and praise Ms. Tran Thi Anh for her act of "finding lost property and returning it to the owner".
