Thai Prime Minister reveals Yingluck's hiding place
The leader of Thailand's military council said on September 28 that former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatrafled last month to avoid arrest and is in Dubai.
Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha, who led a coup in 2014, said Thailand would pursue Yingluck through diplomatic channels and the international police agency Interpol.

His comments came a day after the Supreme Court convicted former Prime Minister Yingluck of negligence in managing a rice subsidy program and sentenced her to five years in prison.
"She is in Dubai," Mr Prayuth told reporters, adding that the foreign ministry was monitoring Ms Yingluck's movements. "The police will cooperate with the foreign ministry and Interpol," he added.
Former Prime Minister Yingluck's Puea Thai Party has not commented on Mr Prayuth's revelation.
The Supreme Court had to postpone its verdict last month after Ms Yingluck failed to appear in court and police discovered she had fled the country.
Previously, the Thai government did not disclose Ms. Yingluck's hiding place, although some senior members of the Puea Thai party told Reuters that she had gone to Dubai, where her brother - former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra - is living in exile.
In a related development, Defense Minister Prawit Wongsuwan said the government has contacted the United Arab Emirates about Ms. Yingluck.
