The Prime Minister pays official visits to the Russian Federation and Belarus.
At the invitation of Prime Minister of the Russian Federation D. Medvedev and Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus M. Myasnikovich, on the morning of May 12, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung led a high-level Vietnamese delegation departing from Hanoi for official visits to the Russian Federation from May 12-15 and the Republic of Belarus from May 15-17.

The delegation included Minister and Head of the Government Office Vu Duc Dam; Minister of Industry and Trade Vu Huy Hoang; Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Nguyen Minh Quang; Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Bac Son; and Minister of Education and Training Pham Vu Luan.
The delegation included Deputy Ministers of the Ministries of National Defence, Public Security, Foreign Affairs, Culture, Sports and Tourism; Secretary of the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee Huynh Minh Chac; Secretary of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Chi Dung; Vietnamese Ambassador to the Russian Federation Pham Xuan Son; Vietnamese Ambassador to Belarus Do Van Mai; President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vu Tien Loc; Director of Hanoi National University Phung Xuan Nha; and an Assistant to the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung's visit to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus aims to reaffirm the importance and desire to continuously develop the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia, and to consolidate and develop the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Belarus.
