Continuing his official visit to the Russian Federation, on the evening of May 14th (Vietnam time), Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung met with the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association and leading Russian corporations.

Receiving the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung expressed his pleasure at the strong development of Vietnam-Russia relations in recent years, and affirmed that Vietnam values ​​and prioritizes the development of the comprehensive strategic partnership with the Russian Federation.

Alongside the goal of boosting bilateral trade to reach US$7 billion in 2015, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung stated that both sides are actively implementing strategic projects, including the construction of Vietnam's first nuclear power plant – one of the symbols of friendship and cooperation between the two countries in the 21st century. In addition, cooperation in military technology, energy, science and technology, education and training, etc., is constantly expanding, and cultural exchanges between the people of the two countries are being strongly enhanced.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung stated that the achievements of today are thanks to the carefully cultivated friendship between Vietnam and Russia, and the immense support, sincere and selfless assistance that the fraternal Russian people have given to the Vietnamese people in the cause of national defense and construction. He added that the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association has made significant contributions to consolidating and developing the traditional friendship between the two countries.

With this shared spirit, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung suggested that the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association continue to effectively promote friendship between the people of the two countries, strengthen exchanges of delegations, coordinate the successful organization of cultural and tourism activities, as well as promote bilateral trade and investment.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung also requested the Association to continue supporting the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation in their studies and stable lives, to integrate better into Russian society, and to contribute more to consolidating and strengthening the comprehensive friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Russia.

Receiving leaders from Alltech Group, Sukhoi Company, Rosneft Company, VSMPO - AVISMA Corporation, etc., Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung affirmed that the Vietnamese Government creates all favorable conditions for Russian businesses to invest in Vietnam, and welcomed the expansion of cooperation between the two sides into new fields, including oil and gas exploration, exploitation and processing, titanium, aviation, telecommunications, etc.
