The Prime Minister awarded the 80-year Party membership badge to comrade Dong Sy Nguyen.

On the afternoon of December 6, at the Government Headquarters, implementing the Decision of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies, the Government Office Party Committee held a ceremony to award Party Badges to 14 Party members of the Party Committee.

Politburo members: Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Secretary of the Government Party Committee, Prime Minister; Truong Hoa Binh, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister; Pham Binh Minh, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs attended the ceremony. Also attending were Vu Duc Dam, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; leaders of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc and a large number of Party members of the Government Office Party Committee.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc respectfully presented the 80-year Party membership badge to comrade Dong Sy Nguyen, former Politburo member and former Vice Chairman of the Council of Ministers; the 40-year Party membership badge to former Politburo member, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Pham Gia Khiem; and the 45-year Party membership badge to Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh.

Also awarded the Party Badge this time were comrade Ngo Xuan Loc, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Deputy Prime Minister and comrade Vo Viet Thanh, former Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, who were also awarded the 55-year Party membership badge; and 9 other party members in the Party Committee who received the 30-year Party membership badge.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized that the success of the country's revolutionary cause was thanks to the sacrifices and contributions of the entire Party, army and people under the leadership of the Party and Uncle Ho. The next generations are always deeply grateful to the compatriots and soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the cause of the country and the nation, especially the predecessors who sacrificed their blood and bones, contributing to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

On behalf of the Government, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc respectfully congratulated comrade Dong Sy Nguyen - a veteran revolutionary cadre who has been through life and death, held many positions, and matured through resistance wars as well as in the country's innovation cause - on receiving the 80-year Party membership badge on this occasion.

The Prime Minister pointed out that the name of Comrade Dong Sy Nguyen is closely associated with the historic Truong Son trail. Whether in the position of a general or a leader in peacetime, Comrade Dong Sy Nguyen always had a decisive style, was close to the masses, closely followed the grassroots, and promoted collective intelligence. The Prime Minister also respectfully congratulated Comrade Pham Gia Khiem - a leader with vision and broad thinking, always close and decisive in directing and operating, and made great contributions to the country's foreign affairs and international relations.

Sending congratulations to the comrades receiving the Party Badge this time, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc emphasized that this is a noble award, not only an honor for the Party members receiving the Badge but also a common honor for the Government Office Party Committee.

The Prime Minister affirmed that over the past 73 years, the Government Office has always been an important agency of the Party and State, a working apparatus assisting the Government and the Head of the Government. The staff, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Government Office have always been united, constantly creative, proactive in completing their assigned tasks. The country's development over the past years has had great contributions from the Party Committee of the Government Office in its role as a comprehensive advisory body, directly assisting the Government, the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers.

Emphasizing that in the new development process, the task of building and defending the Fatherland is very heavy, intertwined with advantages and difficulties, opportunities and challenges, the Prime Minister affirmed that the entire Party and people are striving to comprehensively and synchronously promote the innovation process, build a strong Party, State and Government, ensure political stability, and develop the economy and society quickly and sustainably.
Following the example of the Party members honored to receive the Party Badge this time, the Prime Minister requested the collective of cadres and Party members of the Government Office to seriously implement Resolution 4 of the Central Committee, Directive 05 of the Politburo, Resolution 08 of the Central Committee; strive to implement well the motto: Discipline, integrity, action, creativity, efficiency, best serving the work of the Government and the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister requested that the collective of Party members in the entire Party Committee of the Government Office, in any circumstances, whether working or retired, always unite, maintain fighting spirit and revolutionary qualities, make every effort for the cause of the Party and people; constantly train revolutionary spirit, improve professional qualifications, worthy of being a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Speaking at the ceremony on behalf of 14 Party members receiving the Badges, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh expressed his emotion and honor to receive the Badges of 80 years, 55 years, 45 years, 40 years and 30 years of Party membership this time. Believing that this event is a milestone in the life of a Communist, the Deputy Prime Minister affirmed that the Party members receiving the Party Badges this time will continue to strive, practice and study following the shining moral example of beloved Uncle Ho, worthy of being members of the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam; and perform well all duties of a Party member in all circumstances./.
