Ukrainian Prime Minister “offers advice” to escape Russian gas influence
Ukraine needs to start exploiting its gas reserves to become independent of imports from Russia, Prime Minister Vladimir Groisman said at a government meeting.

Prime Minister Groisman said that it is extremely important for Ukraine to maintain its independence, including energy independence. "I am always surprised that our country Ukraine has huge reserves of natural gas but we have to buy gas from Russia," the politician said.
He expressed confidence that Kiev could start exploiting its own gas resources, thereby lowering the price of "green fuel" domestically.
