The Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Finance to report on Vietlott's operations, including the fact that localities do not agree with the Ministry of Finance's assertion.
Previously, many localities had petitioned the Ministry of Finance to promptly rectify some of Vietlott's illegal business activities and were concerned that investment in local infrastructure would be affected due to the decrease in lottery revenue (traditional lottery).
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance said that Vietlott's operations do not affect traditional lottery.
Also related to Vietlott's activities, on December 5, Vietlott held a ceremony to celebrate its 5th anniversary and officially provided electronic lottery in Hanoi.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Van Hieu - Deputy Minister of Finance - requested Vietlott and its partners to carry out a number of contents, including studying the coordination mechanism between electronic lottery and traditional lottery to create a healthy and diverse lottery market to meet the legitimate needs of the people; and propaganda to limit the phenomenon of excessive passion of players.
