The Government Office has just issued a document conveying the Prime Minister's direction on the import of fake cancer treatment drugs by VN Pharma Vietnam Company.

Specifically, the Prime Minister requested the Ministry of Health to have a written report on the Ministry's state management responsibilities, and submit it to the Prime Minister before August 31, 2017.

Previously, the Supreme People's Procuracy made accusations about the "crimes" of individuals involved in the case. According to the prosecution, in 2013, VN Pharma purchased modern medicine from Helix Canada Company to sell and bid to supply to hospitals in Vietnam, including H-Capita 500 mg Caplet.

In April 2014, VN Pharma opened a customs declaration to import more than 9,000 boxes of H-Capita 500 mg medicine into Vietnam. The investigation showed that the medicine quality certificates were all fake.

During the trial, VN Pharma leaders said they had instructed Le Thi Vu Phuong (former Chief Accountant of VN Pharma) to charge doctors commissions to sell the drugs supplied by the company. The total amount of 7.5 billion VND was commission for the drugs that the company had won the bid for, not just the H-Capita batch.
