Prime Minister asks civil servants to focus on handling work after Tet holiday
The Prime Minister requested that cadres, civil servants and public employees strictly implement discipline and order, and promptly resolve and handle work after the Tet holiday.

In the telegram, the Prime Minister acknowledged, highly appreciated and commended the ministries, agencies, localities and forces that have well organized and performed their tasks during Tet, especially the officers and soldiers who, despite difficulties and hardships, guarded day and night to protect sovereignty at the border and islands, maintain security and order, and protect the peaceful and safe life of the people; the doctors, officers and medical staff who were on duty day and night to provide emergency care, treat and care for the sick; and the officers and workers who worked during Tet.
However, during Tet, violations of traffic safety regulations still occur frequently, the number of deaths is still high, especially serious traffic accidents still occur, illegal racing still occurs; violations of social order and safety due to alcohol abuse still occur in many places, especially in suburban and rural areas; fire and explosion accidents are still common; violations of regulations on buying, selling, transporting and storing firecrackers still occur; fireworks are still set off in some localities; the implementation of civilized lifestyles at festivals and tourist areas is still not strict.
The Prime Minister requested Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Government agencies, Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities, State-owned corporations and groups to uphold their responsibilities, raise their determination, and strive right from the first days of the new year to organize the implementation of Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP on tasks and solutions for directing and implementing the socio-economic development plan and state budget estimates for 2017; thoroughly grasp the Government's 2017 action theme "Strengthening discipline, promoting responsibility, competing creatively, developing rapidly and sustainably", develop and deploy the action theme of their sectors and levels, and focus highly on organizing the implementation of tasks and work according to the set goals, programs and plans.
Officials, civil servants and public employees must strictly implement discipline and order according to Directive No. 26/CT-TTg of the Prime Minister; promptly focus on solving and handling work immediately after the Tet holidays, creating the most favorable conditions for production, business and investment activities of enterprises and transaction needs of the people. Absolutely do not attend festivals during working hours, do not use public vehicles to attend festivals except in cases of performing duties, do not organize festivals that affect working time and efficiency. Leaders of ministries, agencies and localities do not attend festivals unless assigned by competent authorities.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development directs localities to take advantage of favorable weather conditions to boost agricultural, forestry and fishery production, ensure seasonal plans from the first days of spring; proactively prevent and control diseases on crops and livestock; be on guard against the effects of severe cold, drought and saltwater intrusion that may occur in the coming time; promote the tradition of planting trees during Tet, and effectively implement the 2017 forest planting plan.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade directed to boost industrial production right after the holiday, encourage businesses to increase production capacity, expand markets, promote exports; coordinate to direct the effective operation of hydroelectric reservoirs, ensure enough water for agricultural production and save water resources.
The Ministry of Transport and the National Traffic Safety Committee coordinate with localities and relevant authorities to strengthen inspection of transport business activities, ensure technical safety of vehicles, and ensure traffic order and safety after Tet and the festival season.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and localities promote the management and organization of festivals, ensuring thrift, civilization, healthiness, and preservation of traditional identity values.
The Ministry of Health ensures human resources, medicine, medical examination and treatment equipment to serve the people; strengthens disease prevention and control; strengthens inspection and supervision of food safety at tourist sites and festivals; and continues solutions to prevent the harmful effects of alcohol.
The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs coordinates with localities to proactively grasp the labor situation after the Tet holiday at enterprises, especially in industrial parks, to prevent job abandonment and labor shortages; strengthen management of drug addicts in the community and rehabilitation facilities.
The Ministry of Public Security directs the fight, prevention and suppression of all sabotage activities, ensuring political security and social order and safety; strengthens inspection and strictly handles violations of traffic safety, especially passenger transport during the festival season; prevents serious traffic congestion on key routes and major cities; strengthens fire and explosion prevention and control; strictly handles gambling and lottery in all forms.
The Ministry of National Defense directs military recruitment work according to plan; coordinates with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to continue monitoring, grasping the situation, and proactively taking measures to handle situations related to sovereignty, national defense, national security, foreign relations and citizen protection.
The Ministry of Information and Communications and media agencies shall promote information and propaganda, create a joyful and exciting atmosphere in labor, production, work and study; encourage the whole society to trust and be determined to join hands and unite to successfully carry out the socio-economic development tasks of 2017 right from the first days of the new year.
The Prime Minister called on professional associations, the business community, entrepreneurs and all people to seize opportunities, overcome difficulties and challenges, organize labor, production, investment and business effectively, and strive to enrich themselves and society. He requested state management agencies at all levels to demonstrate their determination to accompany and create the most favorable conditions for businesses and people to innovate, start businesses, and produce and do business effectively./.
