The Prime Minister orders urgent rescue efforts following scaffolding collapse.
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has just issued Official Dispatch No. 417/CD-TTg directing the organization of rescue efforts following the scaffolding collapse at the Son Duong port construction site in the Vung Ang economic zone, Ha Tinh province.
The content of the Prime Minister's telegram sent to the National Committee for Search and Rescue; the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province; and the Ministries of National Defense, Public Security, Health, and Industry and Trade clearly states:
On the evening of March 25, 2015, a scaffolding collapse occurred at the Son Duong port construction site in the Vung Ang economic zone, Ky Anh district, Ha Tinh province, resulting in numerous deaths and injuries among workers, with some still trapped. The Prime Minister extends his deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives.

The Prime Minister requested the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province to focus on directing search and rescue efforts, mobilizing forces and resources to urgently search for those still trapped in the rubble, while ensuring the safety of rescue forces; organizing visits to comfort and encourage those injured, providing timely medical assistance; and coordinating with relevant localities to support and organize proper burials for those who died.
The National Committee for Search and Rescue and the Ministries of National Defence, Public Security, Health, and Industry and Trade, according to their assigned functions and duties, will coordinate with the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province to direct rescue and relief efforts and ensure security and order in the area where the incident occurred.
