Previously, on February 19, 2023, VOV electronic newspaper published an article "Abolishing household registration books: Don't push the difficulty to the people", which included information: Lawyer Tran Tuan Anh, Director of Minh Bach Law Firm, said that now people may not have to bring their citizen identification cards, just need to swipe their phones with the VneID application installed to display all citizen information. But our officials are not used to it, have not updated it, and do not have enough swiping devices to display the information, so it is best to ensure their own safety by requiring citizens to go to the ward/commune police station to request a paper confirmation of residence. The lawyer said that this approach is "pushing the difficulty to the people".
Regarding the above content, the Prime Minister requested Deputy Minister of Public Security Nguyen Duy Ngoc to re-examine this matter and propose solutions to handle and resolve it.
