Mr. Tran Van Thanh, resident of Team 3, Thanh An Commune (Thanh Chuong), has a tea growing area on a 4.5-hectare promontory jutting out into Cau Cau Lake. In this tea growing area, Mr. Thanh also raises a herd of 6 goats. The number is not large, but this is a significant source of additional income for the family, as each goat when sold brings in 3-4 million VND.

Goats have a varied diet, but they do not care about tea trees, so the small island becomes an ideal grazing ground. Mr. Thanh trained the goats to run straight to the lake shore as soon as the barn gate was opened. When the owner stopped the boat, the goats jumped on and began their journey to the island. The trip lasted about 15 minutes, while the goats sat on the boat almost motionless, the boatman's feet glided on the oars like a martial arts dance.

The animals have been trained by their owners to behave well, so they are quite "disciplined". Whenever the boat docks on the island, they jump ashore.

The boat docked at the island, and the goats jumped up the hill without any command. Mr. Thanh said that raising goats like this was quite leisurely. Letting them out to eat was then immediately getting on with other work. Around 4 pm, seeing him dock the boat, the goats obediently jumped onto the boat and returned home. "Raising goats on the island is easy, so many families are doing the same thing as me," Mr. Tran Van Thanh shared.
