(Baonghean.vn) - This was one of the topics discussed by discussion group No. 5, which includes provincial People's Council delegates from the electoral units of Do Luong, Nam Dan, and Anh Son districts, on the afternoon of July 8th.

Mr. Truong Hong Phuc – Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the District People's Council of Do Luong District – chaired the discussion session. Representatives from several departments and agencies also participated, including the Provincial Inspectorate, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Provincial Youth Union, and the Provincial Political School, among others.

During the discussion session, many delegates offered insightful opinions reflecting the current situation and the lives of the people in the province, focusing on the following groups of issues:

Delegate Nguyen Chi Nham (Inspectorate of Nghe An Province) raised a question requesting clarification from higher authorities regarding the separate allowances received by information technology officers. He requested clarification on the specific characteristics of information technology officers and why they are entitled to these allowances. This was also a question raised by delegate Le Van Tri (Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front of Anh Son District, delegate from Anh Son District).

During the discussion, delegate Nguyen Ngoc Nguyen – Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front, and a delegate from Nam Dan district – stated that the implementation of the new rural development program in the province is being carried out synchronously and effectively. However, he emphasized the need for monitoring the implementation to avoid superficial achievements, ensuring that all new rural development standards are based on actual results. Agreeing with this view, delegate Thai Van Nong – Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment – ​​also stressed the importance of raising public awareness and striving to meet new rural development standards without pursuing formality, thus ensuring practical effectiveness.

Delegate Thai Thanh Quy (Secretary of the Nam Dan District Party Committee, delegate from Nam Dan District) stated that in recent times, the province has experienced many forest fires, causing significant damage, especially to highly valuable and flammable trees. Therefore, the province needs to strengthen measures to prevent and control forest fires. During the discussion, delegate Le Van Tri (Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front of Anh Son District, delegate from Anh Son District) also suggested that the province should develop plans to strengthen drought response measures and provide compensation for losses suffered by farmers, especially those in mountainous areas.

The lack of coordinated solutions leads to shirking of responsibility, resulting in people's problems not being satisfactorily resolved.

Speaking at the discussion, delegate Le Van Tri (Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front of Anh Son district, delegate from Anh Son district) also stated that many voters who are people with meritorious contributions to the revolution are very concerned about the support provided to them by higher authorities. The awarding of commendations by the Provincial People's Committee to 80,000 individuals with meritorious contributions to the revolution faces many financial difficulties; therefore, delegate Le Van Tri suggested that payments should be made gradually, in installments, to different recipients.
