Le Au Ngan Anh crowned Miss Ocean |
Previously, right after being named the highest title of Miss Ocean 2017, Le Au Ngan Anh faced a fierce wave of public opinion because her beauty was considered not worthy of a beauty queen. The beauty later admitted that she had had rhinoplasty surgery, but before the contest took place, she had removed the cartilage in her nose.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism then requested a re-inspection of the Miss Ocean 2017 contest. On November 13, the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism sent a report to Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien on the inspection results as well as recommendations on how to handle the violations of the Miss Ocean Organizing Committee, when allowing contestant Le Au Ngan Anh. Mr. Vo Viet Chung, Director of Vo Viet Chung International Company Limited, also signed the administrative violation record dated November 8, 2017, admitting to committing an administrative violation: "Putting contestants in beauty pageants and models who do not meet the prescribed conditions", comparing this behavior to the provisions of Point b, Clause 1, Article 14 of Decree 158/2013/ND-CP, the fine is from 2 to 6 million VND.
Sharing with the press after the inspection conclusion, Ngan Anh said she was very sorry if her crown was revoked. "I simply think that pulling out my nose will return it to its natural state. I'm not saying whether I deserve it or not, but I joined the contest with determination and investment, with skills and wanting fairness. The judges have a reason to choose me to be crowned," Ngan Anh shared.
