Scientists have discovered that people who stay up late and sleep in are often smarter, more creative and happier than those who go to bed and wake up on time.

Regularly hitting the "snooze" button after each alarm on your phone to sleep in a few more minutes is a habit that can signal intelligence, creativity, and even happiness than people who wake up on time.

According to Business Insider, a British study has shown that the act of sleeping in shows a creative, intelligent, and independent soul. The two authors Satoshi Kanazawa and Kaja Perina argued that people with outstanding intelligence will change to adapt to modern life, not simply go to bed early and wake up early like their ancestors.

Besides, learning to listen to your own needs demonstrates the ability to pursue your passion as well as find solutions to any problem.

Not only that, research by the University of Southhampton (UK) on 1,229 men and women found that "night owls" (sleep after 11pm and wake up after 8am) have better income and life.

Of course, this doesn’t mean that more sleep equals more success. In fact, people who sleep more than 12 hours a night are more likely to face the risk of dying early.

So, don't feel guilty if you find yourself hitting the snooze button every time your phone goes off. Just remember not to sleep in too long so you have time to do the things you need to do during the day.
