On July 13, Tu Son Town Police, Bac Ninh Province announced that they had decided to prosecute the case, prosecute the accused, and detain Le Thai Hoa (30 years old) for the crime of Extortion.
On July 6, Ms. Nguyen (24 years old) reported to the police of Tu Son town (Bac Ninh) that a person named Thinh, whom she met through social networks, threatened to force her to deposit 100 million VND into her account.
The police identified the mastermind of the case as Le Thai Hoa, Ms. Nguyen's ex-boyfriend. Accordingly, around December 2015, the two had a relationship and then broke up. With the intention of taking revenge on his lover, Hoa hired Bui Duc Thinh (27 years old) to pretend to flirt with Ms. Nguyen to have sex, film a clip to blackmail.
On June 23, Hoa pretended to be Thinh and asked Nguyen to come to a hotel in Tu Son town to meet. After completing the "contract" with the girl, Hoa called Thinh to instruct him on the "flirting" procedure, demanding that he convince her to have sex. At 4 p.m. the same day, Thinh called Hoa to inform her that he had completed the "mission".
After receiving the clip, Hoa continued to impersonate Thinh and call Ms. Nguyen, threatening to post it online if she did not buy it back for 100 million VND. Because she did not have the money, the girl transferred 15 million VND and reported it to the police.
