Chinese traders hide large quantity of electric batons at Tan Thanh border gate
Originally a small trader at a commercial center at Tan Thanh border gate (Lang Son), Mr. Cuong, a Chinese businessman, secretly transported over 400 electric batons to his kiosk, waiting for the opportunity to sell them.

Van Lang District Police, Lang Son Province, said that through their work on the area, they had just discovered that kiosk number 34 of Trung Hoa market (in zone I, Tan Thanh border gate, Van Lang District) was storing over 400 key chain-shaped electric batons.
According to the investigation agency, the size of this electric baton is compact but the electric current emitted is very large, up to 100,000V; it can paralyze people or animals within 5 seconds.
The owner of the kiosk, Truong Phu Cuong (33 years old, permanent residence in Shandong province, China), confessed to buying the electric batons from China and transporting them to his booth, waiting for the opportunity to sell them to tourists visiting and shopping at Tan Thanh border gate.
