Hot reward for the task force that caught 5 heroin cakes in the night

(Baonghean.vn) - On the night of December 13, at the headquarters of Nghia Dan District Police, Nghia Dan District leaders awarded 10 million VND to Task Force 118M for their achievement in capturing a subject transporting 5 heroin cakes.

Nghia Dan District Police discovered that Tran Thanh Minh (born in 1967), residing in Processing Block, Quang Phong Ward, Thai Hoa Town, had signs of illegally buying and selling large quantities of drugs.

On November 23, 2017, Nghia Dan District Police decided to coordinate to establish a special project with code number 118M to verify, clarify and eradicate this network.

The verification process found that during this time, Minh regularly contacted Lang Van Anh (born in 1980), residing in Na Phi village, Muong Noc commune, Que Phong district, to buy and sell drugs in large quantities, then bring them to Thai Hoa town, Nghia Dan district and transport them to Thanh Hoa, Hanoi, and Hai Phong for consumption.

Identifying this as a large-scale drug trafficking ring involving many localities, Nghia Dan District Police coordinated with Que Phong District Police, PC47 Department - Provincial Police, Department 3 (Department C47), Department 3 (Department A71) - Ministry of Public Security to fight the case.

The investigation team determined that at around 6:30 p.m. on December 13, 2017, Lang Van Anh would travel along National Highway 48 from Que Phong district to Nghia Dan district on taxi with license plate 37A - 288.., and Tran Thanh Minh would travel from Thai Hoa town on motorbike with license plate 37H1 - 546.66 and buy and sell drugs in Nghia Lien commune, Nghia Dan district.

At around 7:30 p.m. the same day, the Task Force discovered a white taxi carrying Lang Van Anh appearing at Heu market slope, Nghia Lien commune, followed by Tran Thanh Minh riding a motorbike preparing to buy and sell heroin.

The reconnaissance team used cars to block the front and back of the taxi, controlled and captured Lang Van Anh and the taxi driver, and seized a black leather bag containing 5 heroin bars. Minh, who was following behind, immediately sped away, but the pre-arranged forces were able to control and capture him.

During the initial interrogation, Tran Thanh Minh confessed to buying 5 heroin cakes from Lang Van Anh from Que Phong district and conducting the transaction in Nghia Lien commune when he was arrested.

Currently, the investigation team is temporarily detaining the subject to continue investigating and expanding the investigation.

On the night of December 13, Nghia Dan district leaders came to congratulate the task force on their achievements and gave them a "hot" reward of 10 million VND./.
