(Baonghean.vn) - After the explosion, the fire fighting force quickly arrived at the scene. Nearly 80 soldiers and 7 vehicles worked hard for more than 3 hours to completely control the fire.

The explosion occurred at around 0:30 a.m. on March 20 at Phu An Trading Joint Stock Company, located at 5 Tran Phu Street, Le Mao Ward, Vinh City (Nghe An). The scene of the explosion was a 2-storey building that operates a karaoke restaurant, a hot pot restaurant, and an electronics supermarket with a total usable area of ​​nearly 1,200 square meters.

Immediately upon receiving the news, Fire Police Department No. 1, Firefighting and Rescue Guidance Department dispatched 5 fire trucks, 1 water truck, 1 pumping station truck, 1 command vehicle and more than 80 officers and soldiers to the scene.

The soldiers were divided into three working groups: a fire reconnaissance and search and rescue team; a fire fighting team to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring areas; and a cooling and dismantling team to move industrial gas cylinders to a safe area to avoid further explosions.

By 3:25 a.m. the same day, the fire was completely extinguished. After continuing to cool the building, 20 minutes later, the fire brigade recovered the vehicles and handed over the scene of the explosion to Vinh City Police. During the course of their duties, some officers and soldiers had their legs and arms cut by construction structures and broken glass.

In order to promptly encourage and motivate the spirit of officers and soldiers on duty, on the afternoon of March 20, comrade Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, on behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, awarded 2 units: Fire Prevention and Fighting Police Department No. 1 and the Fire Fighting and Rescue Guidance Department in handling the explosion that occurred at Phu An Trading Joint Stock Company.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Le Xuan Dai commended the bravery of officers and soldiers of the provincial Fire Police force in handling the explosion and limiting the spread of the fire.

With this outstanding achievement, the Provincial People's Committee allocated 50 million VND from the budget to reward the 2 units. Vinh City People's Committee and Nghe An Fire Police also awarded the 2 units directly performing the task.
