(Baonghean.vn) – On the morning of August 23rd, in Cua Lo town, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a conference to disseminate newly issued legal documents to nearly 200 delegates, including delegates of the 16th Provincial People's Council, term 2011-2016; Standing Committees of the People's Councils of 20 districts, cities, and towns; Heads of the People's Council Committees at the district level; heads, deputy heads, and specialists of the provincial People's Council's working departments; and representatives of propaganda and education officials from several provincial departments, agencies, and organizations.

In his remarks at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, emphasized: This is the first time in this term that the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council has organized this conference. The purpose is to help provincial People's Council delegates and other attendees promptly access newly enacted legal documents to better fulfill their assigned political tasks. Therefore, delegates are required to seriously absorb all the content conveyed at the training session so that the legal documents can be effectively implemented.
In the morning, delegates listened to Comrade Nguyen Sy Hoi - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command - present the basic contents of the Vietnamese Law of the Sea (effective from January 1, 2013), consisting of 7 chapters and 55 articles; and the new points of the Vietnamese Law of the Sea compared to previous legal documents on the sea of our country.
Also this morning, delegates received a presentation on the basic contents of the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Prevention and Combat of Corruption (effective from February 1, 2013) by Comrade Ho Ba Vo - Deputy Head of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Provincial Police.
In the afternoon, the conference continued with key topics on some current mechanisms and policies for agricultural development; and some new policies on population and family planning.
