The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, term XVII, 2016-2021, directed the preparation and organization of 4 extraordinary meetings (session 18, 19, 20 and session 21) to perfect the organization of the local government apparatus and pass 22 specialized Resolutions on socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security.

The Standing Committee of the 18th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, directed the preparation and successful organization of 2 regular sessions and 1 extraordinary session. At the sessions, the Provincial People's Council passed 43 resolutions (including 12 legal resolutions and 31 special resolutions).

In particular, in 2021, the Standing Committee of the 18th Provincial People's Council has made many innovations in its work.organize a meeting; methods of synthesizing and collecting comments on documents submitted to the meeting; applying information technology to exploit meeting documents. The meetings were conducted in accordance with the prescribed order, content, and program; the management was scientific and flexible, ensuring the program duration, suitable to the context of Covid-19 prevention and control.

In 2021, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, term XVII and term XVIII, held all regular meetings to discuss and evaluate the results of the previous month's activities, deploy tasks for the following month; handle issues arising between the two sessions and discuss and decide on other issues under its authority.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council has performed well the regular supervision activities in accordance with the provisions of law, such as: Supervising the implementation results of the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council; on the socio-economic, national defense and security tasks in 2021; the implementation results of the announcement of the conclusion of the questioning at the 17th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council of the Provincial People's Committee and related sectors, supervising the settlement of voters' petitions, supervising the settlement of complaints and denunciations of citizens,...

In 2021, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council fully participated in regular citizen reception sessions at the Provincial Citizen Reception Council; received 239 petitions, complaints, denunciations, recommendations, and reflections from citizens (including 79 complaints, 60 denunciations, 100 petitions, and reflections); The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council directed the classification and transfer of citizens' petitions and letters to competent agencies for settlement in accordance with the provisions of law.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council has issued 21 documents, forwarded 50 opinions of voters via the online telephone line at the 2nd session of the 18th Provincial People's Council to departments, branches and localities for settlement according to their authority; up to now, basically the opinions and recommendations of voters have been answered and resolved by competent agencies.

In addition, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council coordinates with press agencies to regularly disseminate information about the activities of the Provincial People's Council, the Standing Committee, and the Provincial People's Council Committees. Organizes the opening ceremony of the new interface of the Electronic Information Page in coordination with the Provincial People's Committee Office and related agencies and units to advise and serve well the activities of the Provincial People's Council, the Standing Committee, and the Provincial People's Council Committees.

4 THEMATIC SUPERVISIONS WILL BE ORGANIZED

Promoting the achieved results and tasks in 2022, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council prepares and organizes well the regular meetings and extraordinary or thematic meetings (when necessary) of the Provincial People's Council in 2022. Considers and proposes the building of the Provincial People's Council Resolution of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Council Committees and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

Fully organize and continue to innovate and improve the quality of regular meetings of the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee according to regulations. Review and comment on the content of the explanation sessions of relevant agencies, organizations and individuals at the meetings of the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee in April and September 2022.

Organize a survey of some contents related to the explanation session at the meeting of the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee, survey to serve the work of examining reports and draft resolutions submitted to the meeting (if necessary).

At the same time, continue to research and improve monitoring methods; organize 4 meetings well.thematic supervisionof the Provincial People's Council in 2022; strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of recommendations after supervision and survey; coordinate the Provincial People's Council Committees in carrying out supervision and survey.

Fully participate in citizen reception activities at the Provincial Citizen Reception Council; receive and process petitions, complaints, denunciations, recommendations, and reflections from citizens according to the law. Assign the Provincial People's Council Committees to examine and handle issues arising between two sessions of the Provincial People's Council in a timely manner, in accordance with procedures and regulations.

Continue to promote the application of information technology in the activities of the Provincial People's Council and improve the quality of propaganda work on the activities of People's Councils at all levels in the mass media.

Develop the Project "Improving the quality and efficiency of the Provincial People's Council's operations for the 2021-2026 term" (submitted to the Provincial Party Standing Committee at the meeting in April 2022).

Strengthening the relationship of coordination with the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, relevant agencies, units and organizations in implementing the program of activities of the Provincial People's Council in 2022.
