The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held a meeting with the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the province.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 8, under the chairmanship of comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee held a meeting with the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the province. The meeting aimed to listen to and give opinions on the results of the implementation of tasks in the fourth quarter of 2020, and to orient key tasks in the first quarter of 2021.
Attending the meeting were comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; representatives of the Party building committees and the Provincial Party Committee Office; representatives of the leaders of the province's socio-political organizations.

MANY EXCITING ACTIVITIES
The report at the meeting showed that in the fourth quarter of 2020MTTQand organizations have proactively kept a close watch on the grassroots, grasped the people's ideological situation; proactively participated in resolving many incidents arising at the grassroots, contributing to stabilizing political security and social order and safety.
The provincial Fatherland Front continues to implement the campaigns "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", "Vietnamese people use Vietnamese goods"; participate in law making, social supervision and criticism, and participate in Party and government building.

In particular, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee called for support, received goods and cash with a total value of 82.3 billion VND to support the Central provinces and people of Nghe An province affected by storms and floods; organized activities to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day; advised on the establishment of working delegations of provincial leaders to attend, encourage and present gifts on the Great Unity Day in 44 residential areas. Organized congratulations and encouragement to outstanding dignitaries, officials and parishioners on the occasion.Christmas 2020; visited and encouraged 116 prestigious people among ethnic minorities in the province.

The Provincial Federation of Labor actively promoted the participation of union members, workers, civil servants and laborers in the province in the 2019 Labor Law Competition with 55,825 entries. Provided consultation to 23 union members and laborers; organized dialogues and legal consultation for 800 workers. Received more than 76,000 opinions from workers and civil servants at all levels of the union to contribute to the draft documents submitted to the 13th National Party Congress.
The unit has carried out the process of adding members of the Executive Committee, members of the Standing Committee, and President of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation for the 18th term, 2018 - 2023. Established 05 grassroots unions with 135 union members.

AFFIRMING THE ROLE OF THE FATHERLAND FRONT AND MASS ORGANIZATIONS
Concluding the meeting, comrade Nguyen Van Thong emphasized that in the fourth quarter as well as the previous period of 2020, Nghe An continued to face many difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and natural disasters, storms and floods. In that context, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and social organizations have made many efforts, accompanying the provincial leaders, departments and branches to well perform the socio-economic tasks in 2020.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee affirmed that recent activities have shown that the units in the bloc are the most basic foundational institutions to spread and share movements and action programs, especially the movement to prevent and fight the Covid-19 pandemic and support people to overcome storms and floods. This further affirms the irreplaceable role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations in social movements and activities.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations have mobilized people to effectively implement measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic. Notably, people have raised their vigilance and supported the anti-epidemic measures and solutions of functional agencies.
The movements to welcome the 19th Provincial Party Congress were vibrant, timely, effective but not ostentatious. According to comrade Nguyen Van Thong, the greatest success of the Congress was the people's unanimous support and this success was achieved thanks to the propaganda and mobilization work of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the province.
In the coming time, the bloc's activities will be greatly affected by the objective situation at home and abroad, developments of natural disasters, epidemics... along with events.13th National Party Congresswill take place from January 25 to February 2, 2021.
Comrade Nguyen Van Thong suggested that organizations and member units in the Vietnam Fatherland Front continue to promote propaganda work towards the 13th National Party Congress, proactively organize activities to celebrate the event. As the center for gathering union members, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations, with many solutions and methods, will effectively carry out the work of ensuring national security and social order and safety. Organize diverse and rich activities but ensure civilization.
Continue to mobilize people to implement recommendations onCovid-19 preventionreally effective; promote the role of the people's eyes and ears in the fight against the epidemic.
Coordinate with the authorities to propagate, mobilize and control people in using fireworks in accordance with regulations. Propagate and mobilize all classes of people to do a good job of preventing crimes, social evils and traffic safety during Tet. Focus on ensuring social security, caring for policy beneficiaries, the poor, people in difficult circumstances and other vulnerable groups.
