Standing Provincial Party Committee works with Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of October 30, under the chairmanship of comrade Ho Duc Phoc - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the provincial leaders had a working session with the delegation of Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation to discuss solutions to speed up the progress of the construction project of Hoang Mai 2 Cement Factory.

Attending the working session on behalf of Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation were comrades: Luong Quang Khai - Chairman of the Board of Members, Tran Viet Thang - General Director and members. On behalf of Nghe An province leaders were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of relevant provincial departments, branches and sectors.

Overview of the working session.

According to the plan, Hoang Mai 2 Cement Project has a total investment capital of 10,800 billion VND, equivalent to 650 million USD, with Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation as the investor.

The project is expected to be implemented from 2016 to 2020, divided into 2 phases, each phase has a kiln capacity of 6,000 tons of clinker/day (equivalent to over 2 million tons of cement/year). The products of the factory will be consumed by the Company in the Central region and exported. Currently, Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation has completed the survey and exploration of raw material mines at the site as well as related legal procedures.

Comrade Huynh Thanh Dien requested that investors have specific plans to soon implement projects in the province.

Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation proposed the province to allow the construction of phase 1 of the project right at the current Hoang Mai Cement Factory (Quynh Vinh commune, Hoang Mai town). However, considering that the environment is not guaranteed, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Duc Phoc suggested that the investor locate the factory in Tan Thang commune, Quynh Luu district. At the same time, there should be an early solution to handle the environment at the current Hoang Mai Cement Factory as well as propose specific environmental solutions if the project is implemented. Only then can we create a high consensus among the people in the project area, creating trust and prestige among the people about a professional and effective investor...

The Provincial Party Secretary hopes that the Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation will soon plan and implement effective projects in the province, such as: the project to build a non-fired brick factory, the urban area in Nghi Phu, the urban area in Hoang Mai... contributing to the Party Committee and the people of Nghe An to successfully implement Resolution 26 of the Politburo. Or after calculating, if any project is found to be ineffective or not suitable for the time, it will promptly respond so that the province can transfer it to other investors.

The leaders of Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation basically agreed with the plan proposed by the Provincial Party Secretary. The Corporation will recalculate all conditions and report to the provincial leaders to implement the project in the coming time. At the same time, the Corporation commits to create a green - clean - beautiful environment inside and outside the factory premises and affirms that it will produce products within 2 years and in the next year, it will complete the project as well as auxiliary works such as seaports, roads as well as social security issues... if the project is implemented on schedule.
