The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Council offered flowers to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh

On the morning of July 20, before the official opening of the 15th session of the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2016 - 2021, provincial leaders and delegates of the Provincial People's Council held a flower offering ceremony at the Uncle Ho Statue at Ho Chi Minh Square, Vinh City.

Attending the flower offering ceremony were comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.

Also attending the ceremony were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of provincial departments, branches, sectors, and mass organizations; Heads of the Provincial People's Council Delegation.

Offering fresh flower baskets at Uncle Ho's Statue, standing before his spirit, the delegates expressed their infinite gratitude and respect for the great thoughts and extremely noble life of Uncle Ho - the genius leader of our Party and people, Hero of national liberation, Outstanding cultural celebrity.

Learning and following Uncle Ho's example, in 2020, Nghe An Provincial People's Council continued to innovate, constantly improve the quality of its activities, and made many important contributions to promoting socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security of the province.

The Provincial People's Council has passed many mechanisms and policies to create development momentum and ensure social security, care for and resolve voters' opinions and recommendations, which have been recognized and highly appreciated by the people.

Coordination with central agencies, the provincial People's Committee, the provincial Fatherland Front Committee, and the Standing Committee of the district-level People's Council is increasingly close and scientific, ensuring the good implementation of the functions and tasks of the provincial People's Council.

Provincial leaders and delegates of the Provincial People's Council also promised to forever study and follow his ideology, morality and style; continue to promote the achievements, overcome difficulties, strengthen solidarity to well perform the functions, tasks and powers of the Provincial People's Council according to the provisions of law; meet the development requirements of the province and the wishes of voters and people of the province.

At this 15th session, the Provincial People's Council will discuss reports from the Standing Committee, committees of the Provincial People's Council, the People's Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the People's Procuracy, the People's Court and the Provincial Civil Judgment Enforcement Agency on the results of activities in the first 6 months of the year, the deployment of tasks for the last 6 months of 2020 and other related reports.

The meeting reviewed and approved draft resolutions on socio-economic, national defense and security in the province, questioned and answered questions, and decided on a number of important contents under the authority of the Provincial People's Council.

With the spirit of continuing to innovate and improve quality, the Provincial People's Council will also promote the intelligence and responsibility of each delegate, participate in discussions, contribute many profound opinions to reports and draft resolutions presented at the session, improve the quality of decisions on issues under the authority of the Provincial People's Council.
