At that moment, Lieutenant Ha Phi Son, an investigator from the general investigation team of the Binh Thanh District Police, noticed two individuals exhibiting suspicious behavior on his way home from work and began following them.
Upon arriving in front of house number 48 on Ung Van Khiem Street (Ward 25, Binh Thanh District), Tai spotted a Wave Anpha motorbike with license plate 59X2 - 60167 parked in front of the house without anyone watching it, so he secretly signaled his accomplices to stop.
Then, Tài approached and used a crowbar to break the lock. While committing the crime, Tài was discovered by the car owner who shouted, so he quickly ran away.
At that moment, Comrade Son quickly chased after the suspect, tackled him to the ground, and apprehended him.
At the police station, Tài confessed to his crime and stated that he had a previous conviction for theft, for which he was sentenced to 1 year and 6 months in prison.
In early September 2016, Tài was released from prison. However, shortly after his release, he was unemployed and fell ill, so he resumed stealing to earn money for his expenses.
The police are currently continuing their search for the remaining accomplice.
