Accordingly, in the plenary session held on the morning of December 4, the Japanese Senate emphasized that North Korea's missile test launchintercontinental(ICBM) has shown a clear intention to continue pursuing its nuclear missile development program, and this is a challenge to regional security, including Japan.

On the one hand, the resolution calls on North Korea to stop all provocative actions and fully comply with relevant UN Security Council resolutions demanding that it abandon its nuclear missile development program; on the other hand, it also calls on the Japanese government to strongly strengthen unilateral sanctions against North Korea and be ready to deal with any contingencies to ensure the security and safety of the Japanese people.

Japan's House of Representatives is also expected to pass a similar resolution on December 5.

Previously, at 3:18 a.m. on November 29 (local time), North Korea test-fired the Hwasong-15 intercontinental ballistic missile, considered the country's most powerful missile ever, and it fell into the sea within Japan's exclusive economic zone.

This event not only caused strong reactions from Japan, the US, South Korea, etc., but the international community also expressed concern about security in the region./.
