Benfica and Man United could not reach an agreement on the loan fee and the purchase clause, preventing the deal from being completed.

Malacia is now facing a dilemma after saying goodbye to his teammates. Man United are urgently considering options to resolve this situation before the winter transfer market closes in 2025. Several teams are still showing interest in Malacia, Betis and Celtic are the teams that want to recruit this player.

Tyrell Malacia has been unlucky at Man United, with injuries plaguing him and making just 47 appearances for the club since 2022. Although his contract runs until the summer of 2026, manager Ruben Amorim appears to have lost faith in the player. He joined Man United from Feyenoord in 2022 for £13m and was a mainstay under Erik ten Hag in the 2022/23 season. However, he has had ongoing fitness issues and was out for 17 months with a knee injury before returning in November.

As well as finding a new home for Malacia, Man United are also trying to find a replacement. Sources from Caught Offside said Amorim wants to recruit Wolves left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri. The 23-year-old has a contract with Wolves until the end of the 2025/26 season and is estimated to be worth around £30m, although the possibility of MU getting this player is still very difficult. Because there is a possibility of losing this player for free if Wolves do not agree to the offer that MU made.
