The first crew member rescued at sea in Quang Binh reunited with his family in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 7, crew member Pham Van Hoang - one of the four Nghe An crew members rescued at sea in Quang Binh, returned home to reunite with his family; the remaining crew members are on their way home.
At the family of sailor Pham Van Hoang (born in 1993, Quynh Tho commune, Quynh Luu), relatives and neighbors gathered to visit and share joy with the family. Fisherman Hoang was one of four sailors rescued by the Quang Tri rescue ship after 25 hours of drifting and clinging to the sea.
After receiving dedicated care from the medical team of Quang Tri Border Guard Station, Hoang's health recovered quickly, so Hoang and his father, Pham Van Nguyen, asked to take a bus home that night and arrived at their hometown at 3 a.m. this morning.

Mr. Pham Van Nguyen (father of crew member Hoang) said: At 9:00 a.m. on September 6, the Quang Tri rescue ship rescued 4 crew members, including Hoang; the ship immediately brought the crew members ashore for health checks and then handed them over to the Quang Binh Border Guard Station at 3:00 p.m. the same day. After being cared for by the leaders of the Quang Binh Border Guard Station, the crew members were provided with food and water to recover their health.
“At around 9 p.m. on September 6, the family asked for Hoang to return home; the remaining three crew members had not yet recovered, so they and their relatives were able to return home this morning,” said Mr. Nguyen.

Upon receiving the news that sailor Pham Van Hoang had returned home, relatives and neighbors gathered to visit and share joy with the family.
It is known that among the 4 crew members rescued by the rescue ship, Hoang was the oldest. At the time of the accident, fortunately, thanks to Hoang's calmness and experience at sea, he was able to unite the 3 younger crew members, sharing lifebuoys to hold on for many hours at sea.
According to Hoang's relatives, the upcoming 11th of the 9th lunar month is the wedding ceremony of Hoang and a girl from the same hometown. Hoang's lucky escape was a lucky thing, but the happiest thing is the hundred-year wedding ceremony of the two families.
Around noon today, a car from the Quang Tri Border Guard Command will transport the remaining 3 crew members and their relatives to the Commune People's Committee to hand over to the locality and their families.
The authorities are currently searching for the two missing fishermen. The family of the crew member hired divers this morning to search for them.
