US fighter jet crashes in Florida
A US Navy F-18 fighter jet crashed in Key West, Monroe County, Florida last night, March 14.

Monroe County Sheriff's Office spokesman Adam Linhardt said the F-18 fighter jet crashed into the water in Key West, Florida. One pilot ejected from the plane around 4:30 a.m. local time. It was unclear whether there were one or two pilots on board.
The Miami Herald quoted witnesses as saying that the plane appeared to have exploded in mid-air.
There is currently no information about casualties or damage caused by the accident, as the plane crashed into an uninhabited body of water.
Immediately after the accident, rescue forces were mobilized to the scene. Currently, the authorities have opened an investigation to find the cause of this accident.
