Russian Su-35 fighter jet shocks US in Ukraine

Russian Su-35 fighter jets have proven highly effective and lethal on the Ukrainian battlefield, Military Watch magazine said.

“Su-35 participated in major air battles with Ukrainian fourth-generation fighters, and won spectacular victories,” the newspaper wrote.

These military aircraft are increasingly used by the Russian Air Force to ensure air superiority, and thus play a central role in the conflict with Ukraine.

Military Watch admits that the Su-35 is difficult to compete with in many aspects. In fact, the Su-35 has more electronic warfare capabilities, and can scan targets in a short period of time.

In particular, the Su-35S is a super-maneuverable 4++ generation fighter, built using unique 5th generation technologies. It is equipped with a new avionics complex, a radar with greater air target detection capabilities and an increased number of tracked targets. At the same time, the aircraft is equipped with new engines with increased thrust, reaching speeds of up to 2,500 km/h, and is capable of lifting a combat load of up to 8 kg.

The Su-35 multirole fighter carries out strikes against enemy air, ground and naval forces, conducts air surveillance and destroys protected infrastructure targets.

For Ukrainian pilots, the Su-35 fighter is the most formidable opponent.

Military expert Vijainder K Thakur, formerly of the Indian Air Force, said: Su-35s are deployed in tactical roles. They are usually armed with Kh-31 anti-radiation missiles, glide bombs and air-to-surface missiles as well as air-to-air missiles such as RVV-BD, RVV-SD and RVV-MD to gain air superiority. Su-35s fly 24/7 air patrols along the front lines.
