Russian 6th generation fighter destroys enemy without bullets
With extremely powerful microwave weapons, the Russian Air Force's 6th generation fighter can easily destroy enemies without using missiles.
Information about this high-tech weapon was provided by Mr. Vladimir Mikheev, Deputy General Director of the Radio-Electronic Technologies Corporation (KRET), Russia's leading manufacturer of electronic weapons. The first prototypes of the microwave weapon are being tested at shooting ranges in Russia.
Currently, the prototype of this microwave gun is designed to burn missile systems and can be integrated into 6th generation fighters. The advanced weapon system "already exists and is developing quite effectively," said Vladimir Mikheev.

"Tests are being conducted continuously, both in the laboratory and at the range," the official added. Microwave guns essentially emit powerful electromagnetic radiation that causes circuits to burn out. They are not a single-purpose weapon, unlike electromagnetic pulse devices, which can be used for the same purpose.
Future Russian sixth-generation fighters could be equipped with such advanced weapons, a KRET official said. Microwave guns could be used to destroy incoming missiles by destroying their guidance systems.
Some of the aircraft's electronic components will be combined with an integrated device, which will coordinate the functions of radar and other sensors, as well as with an electronic warfare system, a guided missile system and even communications equipment to increase combat effectiveness, Vladimir Mikheev said.
In addition to the microwave weapon system, Russia is also developing electromagnetic weapons for 6th generation fighters - a weapon that Russia's Rossiyskaya Gazeta (RG) newspaper revealed can fire bullets flying at a speed of 22,500 km/h.
The Russian electromagnetic gun currently being researched by the Institute of High Temperature Research (under the Academy of Sciences) in Shatura has had successful tests and is 3 times faster than the American electromagnetic gun.
"In laboratory tests, we tested an electromagnetic gun that fired a bullet weighing only a few tens of grams at a speed of up to 6.25 km/s (22,500 km/h), which is very close to the first cosmic speed," said Alexey Shurupov, director of the Institute of High Temperature Research at the Russian Academy of Sciences in Shatura.
With the terrifying speed of the bullet made by the above laboratory in Russia, no protective layer of current military equipment can withstand it, from warships, tanks, planes. And it is said to fly 3 times faster than the speed of the American electromagnetic cannon in the test (7,000km/h).
According to leading defense experts, success with electromagnetic weapons could change the nature of future wars. Compared to missiles, electromagnetic weapons have many advantages in terms of low cost of use, easy maintenance and high combat performance.
It is not yet clear whether Russia plans to integrate both microwave weapons and electromagnetic guns into its 6th generation fighter or choose only one of them. But regardless of which weapon is equipped, Russia's 6th generation fighter will still possess the world's most advanced weapon.
