Striker Cai Van Quy, who once "made waves" at national youth tournaments while playing for Song Lam Nghe An, has just written a letter to the Song Lam Nghe An Youth Football Training Center asking to terminate his contract early. The reason the former U19 Song Lam Nghe An striker said goodbye to professional football early is because this player could not fully recover from the injury he suffered in 2021.

In 2021, while participating in the National U19 Tournament, Cai Van Quy suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury after a collision with an opponent. After returning to Song Lam Nghe An club, realizing that he could not regain his ability to play football as before, Van Quy asked the club to terminate his contract and look for other job opportunities.
Cai Van Quy was born in 2004, and grew up from the youth training center of Song Lam Nghe An Club. Cai Van Quy is a key member of the Song Lam Nghe An team that won the National U11, U13 and U15 tournaments. Cai Van Quy was the top scorer in the 2019 National U15 football tournament.
