Striker Ho Tuan Tai writes a heartfelt letter to fans

(Baonghean.vn) – After a period of contemplation in his homeland, striker Ho Tuan Tai shared his honest thoughts on his personal page about the 29th SEA Games in the U22 Vietnam team jersey.

On his personal Facebook, Ho Tuan Tai shared: “The failure of U22 at the recent SEA Games has caused great disappointment in the hearts of Vietnamese men's football fans. And I myself also feel very heavy. For several days, I sat and reviewed what my teammates and I performed, sat and read the comments, compliments, criticisms, and even criticisms from the audience for me and the team. In fact, I and the U22 Vietnam team tried our best, performed according to the training program given by the coaching staff. However, in a moment of subjectivity and bad luck, we lost the right to self-determination and soon accepted defeat, having to stop playing too soon.

I would like to send my most sincere thanks to the fans for always believing in, standing by and enthusiastically cheering for U22 Vietnam during the time the team competed in Malaysia. I also thank coach Nguyen Huu Thang, the coaching staff and my U22 Vietnam teammates for trusting and giving me the opportunity to compete, the opportunity to score as well as the opportunity to correct my mistakes.

I am extremely sorry for not being able to take advantage of those opportunities, I realize that I have not fulfilled my role as a striker well. I will take note of all comments, sympathy or criticism, and use them as motivation to improve myself in work as well as in life. I hope that everyone will continue to trust and support Vietnamese football in general and me in particular, as everyone has stood by and supported me. Once again, I sincerely thank you!

The emotional sharing of the SLNA striker received sympathy and positive encouragement from fans. Facebook nick Thuy Vinh commented: “Dear. No one is perfect. Know where you went wrong, fix it. If you fall, stand up yourself, that’s the best. The world’s tongue is a double-edged sword. You are not alone. You still have family, friends and fans. God never disappoints anyone. If you try, you will succeed. That’s all I can give you. I wish you success in your career!”

His cousin Pham Van Quyen, former striker of the Vietnam National Team, said: “Tuan Tai’s performance at the 29th SEA Games is completely normal, luck did not come to Tuan Tai and U22 Vietnam. And that is the game, we have to accept it.”

At the 29th SEA Games, striker Ho Tuan Tai scored 2 goals in the matches against Cambodia and the Philippines. In the matches against Indonesia and Thailand, the young player of SLNA was unlucky with goals many times, although he played quite well.

At the end of this tournament, Tuan Tai experienced countless pressures and those were truly necessary lessons and provisions for the future path of the player born in 1995, from Hung Nguyen.
