Striker squanders opportunity, U22 Vietnam still defeats Busan FC 6-1

Right in the 10th minute, the score was opened quite early for Busan FC from a situation where the U22 Vietnam defense was not alert, the striker wearing the number 10 shirt rushed in and finished close to the goal, defeating goalkeeper Minh Long.

After a few missed opportunities, U22 Vietnam got an equalizer thanks to Van Thanh in the 31st minute. From outside the penalty area, defender Van Thanh curled the ball with little force but enough to defeat the Busan FC goalkeeper.

Just 4 minutes later, Cong Phuong added his name to the list of goalscorers, raising the score to 2-1 for U22 Vietnam. From a pass back after Van Thanh's advance, Cong Phuong made a tap-in from 20 meters away.

Before the first half ended, Cong Phuong managed to complete his double from Ha Duc Chinh's assist. In a face-to-face with Busan FC's goalkeeper, the HAGL striker skillfully chipped the ball, raising the score to 3-1.

In the second half, Coach Huu Thang changed 8 positions, only keeping Xuan Truong, Duc Chinh and Dong Trieu. The players on the field included: Thanh Thinh, Quang Hai, Lam Ti Phong, Van Kien, Tan Tai, Tuan Tai, Dinh Trong and goalkeeper Tien Dung.

Despite almost pulling out all the pillars, U22 Vietnam still had a good game and scored 3 more goals thanks to Quang Hai, Lam Ti Phong and Ha Duc Chinh. In which, Quang Hai's free kick in the 68th minute was extremely beautiful.

Winning 6-1, U22 Vietnam showed an attacking style of play against a weaker opponent. However, this was still a match where U22 Vietnam's strikers missed too many good opportunities.

After this match, U22 Vietnam will depart for Incheon. It is expected that at 11am on August 10, U22 Vietnam will fly to Kuala Lumpur, starting the journey to conquer the 29th SEA Games gold medal./.
