Midfielder Hoang Duc won the 2023 Vietnam Golden Ball award
(Baonghean.vn) - Midfielder Nguyen Hoang Duc has officially won the prestigious Vietnam Golden Ball 2023 award.
On the evening of February 19, the Gala awarding the Vietnam Golden Ball 2023 took place. Midfielder Nguyen Hoang Duc won the Golden Ball for men. This is the second time Hoang Duc has received the Vietnam Golden Ball in his career.
Striker Pham Tuan Hai (Hanoi FC) won the Silver Ball with many efforts in 2023. Goalkeeper Dang Van Lam received the Bronze Ball award for contributing to the National Cup Bronze medal of Binh Dinh Club.
In the women's category, there were no surprises when goalkeeper Tran Thi Kim Thanh won the Women's Golden Ball. She played brilliantly at the 2023 Women's World Cup with many amazing saves. Kim Thanh blocked a penalty kick from Alex Morgan (US team).
Huynh Nhu received the Silver Ball award for women but she could not return home to attend the ceremony because she was busy playing for Lank FC. The Bronze Ball award recipient for women was midfielder Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy.
Ngoc Minh Chuyen, the talented striker of Thai Nguyen T&T, was the best young female player. Nguyen Thai Son was the best young male player for his achievements in Thanh Hoa and the Vietnam national team. Rafaelson Fernandes was the best foreign player.
Meanwhile, 2023 is the first year that the Vietnam Golden Ball 2023 has a Dedication award category. The two former players honored are Pham Thanh Luong (men's football) and Tran Van Vu (Futsal).
In the Futsal category, Pham Duc Hoa won the Golden Ball. The Silver Ball went to Chau Doan Phat. This year, Ho Van Y finished 3rd and won the Bronze Ball.
