Midfielder Khac Ngoc opens his heart before leaving SLNA

PV:Hello Khac Ngoc, SLNA is currently in the Top 5 before the match against Quang Nam and still has the ability to compete for medals. How do you rate this year's season for yourself and SLNA?

Midfielder Khac Ngoc:This season, although the team faced many difficulties in terms of personnel preparation and finance, the whole team tried very hard. If Phan Van Duc and Pham Xuan Manh had not been injured, the team would have had much better results.

For me, although some matches did not go as expected, I still feel satisfied with what I experienced in V.League 2019. If I get a 3rd or 4th place overall, I still consider this a successful season.

PV:Khac Ngoc is one of many players whose contracts with SLNA Club will expire at the end of December. How has the team acted towards you and your teammates recently?

Midfielder Khac Ngoc:A long time ago, the team leaders worked with some players, including me. But it all stopped at the exchange level. I also understand that because the team does not have a new sponsor, we cannot expect much.

PV:There is information that you will join Viettel Club, how is the negotiation process and preparation for your future plans?

Midfielder Khac Ngoc:I would like to ask permission not to announce my new destination because I have not signed an official contract yet. Up to this moment, I am still an SLNA player. I myself and many other brothers want to continue playing for SLNA. But for the future, we are forced to think about our career ahead.

PV:At some point, when you are no longer an SLNA player and join a new team, will Khac Ngoc imagine what difficulties await him ahead?

Midfielder Khac Ngoc:Playing football with my teammates since I was young at SLNA is a wonderful thing. Many years of playing together has become a habit. When coming to a new team, I will definitely have to try harder to integrate into the new environment, new playing style and new teammates. New challenges and difficulties are always something that every player must find a way to face.

PV:When Khac Ngoc and many players leave, it will certainly leave a big void. Surely you will have a lot of expectations foryoung players?

Midfielder Khac Ngoc:SLNA is always like that, when this player leaves, there will be a young player coming up. Even I myself had to be a reserve for many years to get a starting position. Therefore, I believe and expect that the young players at SLNA will do it, but they must have a lot of time to rub shoulders and get used to the V.League playground.

I also hope that SLNA will soon find a sponsor to retain other players whose contracts are expiring. Because honestly everyone wants to play for SLNA to be close to their families and play in a team rich in traditional identity.

PV:For any player, the biggest goal and desire is to contribute to the national team. What do you think about your chances and those of your teammates at SLNA in the upcoming training sessions?

Midfielder Khac Ngoc:As a central midfielder in the national team, Coach Park Hang-seo has a stable and good squad, so my chances are not many. However, I always try and wait for my chance. At SLNA right now, besides Phan Van Duc and Pham Xuan Manh, I think goalkeeper Nguyen Manh and striker Ho Tuan Tai can play well in the national team.

PV:If you leave, what message do you want to send to SLNA fans, who have accompanied the team for many years. They are also very interested in your future?

Midfielder Khac Ngoc:First of all, I would like to thank the SLNA fans who have always accompanied the SLNA team and always given me and my teammates their love. SLNA fans from all over the country are very numerous and powerful. I hope everyone will continue to accompany and support the team in all circumstances. I also want to thank the teachers and fathers who have guided us to become who we are today.

PV:Tomorrow, SLNA will have a match against Quang Nam, what do you think about your chances and your teammates' chances at Tam Ky stadium?

Midfielder Khac Ngoc:Currently, the gap with the two teams above is 2 points but there is only one match left. First of all, we have to win. The chance to get a medal still depends on the other matches, but my teammates and I will play a match with all our heart for the fans. Because most likely, this will be my last match in the SLNA shirt.
