Midfielder Quoc Anh wins the Vietnamese Golden Ball award.
Surpassing a host of outstanding names in Vietnamese football such as Le Tan Tai, Nguyen Minh Phuong, Nguyen Van Quyet and Nguyen Trong Hoang, midfielder Huynh Quoc Anh of SHB Da Nang club officially won the 2012 Vietnamese Golden Ball award.
Huynh Quoc Anh was a key player in helping SHB Da Nang win the V-League championship last season and has maintained consistent form while playing for the Vietnamese national team.

Meanwhile, the silver ball went to Le Tan Tai (Vicem Hai Phong) and the bronze ball went to Nguyen Minh Phuong (SHB Da Nang).
In women's football, goalkeeper Dang Thi Kieu Trinh won the Golden Ball award in 2012 for her outstanding performance at the 2012 Southeast Asian Women's Championship. This was the second consecutive time the goalkeeper from Ho Chi Minh City had won this prestigious title.
The Silver Ball went to Le Thi Thuong (Than KS Vietnam) and the Bronze Ball went to center-back Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh (Hanoi 1).
In other categories, midfielder Tran Phi Son (Song Lam Nghe An) won the title of best young male player of the year. The women's award went to center-back Chuong Thi Kieu of Ho Chi Minh City. Gaston Merlo of SHB Da Nang continued to win the award for best foreign player.
