Midfielder Song Lam Nghe An created, U20 Vietnam won big against U20 East Timor

In the opening match of the U20 Asia qualifiers, two players of Song Lam Nghe An had a very good performance, contributing to the big victory of U20 Vietnam against U20 Hong Kong.

Going into the second round of matches, the task of Mr. Dinh The Nam's students is still 3 points. Because if they want to win the right to decide in Group F, the necessary condition for U20 Vietnam is to win big against the team of coach Gopalkrishnan.

The starting lineup in this match had 5 changes compared to the previous match, but Dinh Xuan Tien and Ho Van Cuong of Song Lam Nghe An were still the names that were on the field from the beginning.

Quite surprisingly, East Timor’s approach to the match was not passive defense, but rather they tried to push up their formation to play an offensive game with Vietnam. However, that only happened in the first few minutes of the match. After that, U20 Vietnam regained control of the game and completely dominated the game.

The tactics of U20 Vietnam in this match did not change much compared to the victory over U20 Hong Kong. Dinh Xuan Tien is still the soul of U20 Vietnam's playing style. With experience playing in V.League, the midfielder of Song Lam Nghe An is full of confidence when facing East Timor. Dinh Xuan Tien's agility and technique forced the East Timor defender to commit a foul near the penalty area. And it was the player from Nam Dan who executed an accurate free kick for Thanh Nhan to head in, opening the score for U20 Vietnam in the 10th minute of the match.

Less than 5 minutes later, coach Dinh The Nam's players doubled the lead. Vi Hao's 1-2 combination with his teammates completely eliminated the opponent's defense, before firing a shot that burned the East Timor net.

After doubling the gap, U20 Vietnam still maintained pressure on the opponent's field. Many dangerous opportunities were created by coach Dinh The Nam's players in front of Filonito Nogueira's goal.

Interspersed between the attacks of U20 Vietnam were some pretty impressive counter-attacks by East Timor. Possessing speed and strength, Xzavier created two dangerous chances in front of Huy Hoang's goal. But fortunately for Dinh The Nam and his team, the striker wearing the number 18 shirt missed the goal.

Therefore, at the end of the first 45 minutes, the score remained 2-0, in favor of U20 Vietnam.

In the second half, U20 Vietnam made many changes in both personnel and tactics with the hope of scoring more goals before the decisive match with Indonesia. However, facing the pressure of East Timor players, Mr. Dinh The Nam's students did not pose much danger to Filonito Nogueira's goal.

It was not until the 65th minute of the match that U20 Vietnam created the first chance in the second half. His teammate made a reasonable pass, Thanh Nhan decided to take an inaccurate shot, instead of passing the ball inside to Vi Hao, to have a clearer scoring opportunity for U20 Vietnam.

In the final minutes of the match, U20 Vietnam created many dangerous opportunities in front of Filonito Nogueira's goal. And Mr. Dinh The Nam's students scored 2 more goals to secure a 4-0 victory.

2 goals belonged to Xuan Bac and Van Khang. The final result was U20 Vietnam won 4-0 against U20 East Timor.

On September 18, U20 Vietnam will have the final match in Group F against U20 Indonesia.
