Midfielder Thuy Trang: The captain's armband is a great motivation to strive

"I am not under pressure with the captain's armband, but this is a great motivation for me and the whole team to achieve immediate success. I want to thank the coaching staff for trusting and entrusting me with this important task. I hope the whole team will help me in the coming time to develop and conquer success. After 1 week of training, I see that the young players are developing very quickly. They have good physique and tactics, but they are still inexperienced, so I hope the young players will quickly integrate with their seniors, learn from their experience to practice and compete well. My goal is to maintain my form and fitness to practice and compete well with the whole team and achieve success in the upcoming tournament," affirmed the captain of the Vietnamese women's team.

To prepare for the 2024 Paris Olympics qualifying round against the Nepal women's team, the Vietnamese women's team is training at the Youth Football Training Center (under the Vietnam Football Federation).Coach Mai Duc Chungaffirms that the upcoming friendly matches will help players gain more experience.

"This week, the whole team will practice physical strength, endurance, speed, technical and tactical skills. Next week, we will play 3 friendly matches here on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons, respectively against Phu Dong U14, the former team of players who participated in the 22nd SEA Games in 2003 and the Hanoi Youth team. These 3 friendly matches are enough. Before that, the players participated in the National Cup, so we only need 3 matches to arrange the squad before going to Nepal to participate in the preliminary round of the 2024 Paris Olympics" - coach Mai Duc Chung shared.

The strategist of the Vietnamese women's team also stated the goal of the Vietnamese women's team in 2023, which is to perform well in tournaments that have affirmed their reputation (such as the SEA Games), and at the same time take advantage of opportunities in higher-level tournaments to progress.
