Speaking in an interview before the match against Thanh Hoa in round 2 of V.League 2023, Nam Hai shared: "In round 1 of V.League 2023, I scored my first goal in V.League for Song Lam Nghe An. This will be the motivation for me to continue trying to play better in the next rounds."

Traveling to Thanh Hoa is never easy for Song Lam Nghe An. Because in the previous season, when playing at home, Thanh Club crushed Song Lam Nghe An with 2 goals to nil.
