(Baonghean.vn) - The school in Na Ngan village, belonging to Nga My Primary School (Nga My commune), has 72 students, mainly Thai ethnic people. This is one of the most difficult schools in the mountainous district of Tuong Duong. On August 27, at this school, the program "Step to School" was organized by volunteers, mainly students from universities and colleges in the province.

Starting from Vinh city, young people, mainly students from universities and colleges in the province, participating in the Love Connection Club, traveled 250 kilometers to the poor commune of Nga My in the volunteer program "Support to go to school". |
The group of young people brought gifts for students of Na Ngan block, Nga My Primary School. The gifts were school uniforms, books and school bags for the new school year. |
Na Ngan is one of the most remote villages in Nga My commune. From the center of Nga My commune, you have to cross 52 large and small streams, traveling 5 hours from the commune to the village. The classrooms of Na Ngan students are also seriously degraded. On days of heavy rain, this small village and school are almost isolated. |
72 students were excited and happy to welcome the group of "strange guests" from the lowlands. They all seemed interested and listened attentively to the interesting things shared by the volunteers. |
In this remote and isolated place, it is touching to see the drawings filled with the children's dreams solemnly posted on the classroom wall at the "Student Product Display Corner". |
The happy smiles of the children when they put on new uniforms, new school bags with full school supplies, somewhat eased the fatigue of the long journey of the volunteers. |
“The hardships and sufferings of these children are endless. The roads are dangerous, the facilities are seriously degraded, and parents are not really aware of the importance of their children's education. Therefore, in addition to teaching them, teachers also have to regularly visit each house to encourage parents to urge their children to go to school,” said Mr. Lo Van Bang, a teacher of the Na Ngan block. |
Small gifts from the Club will be a motivation to help children try harder in their studies. |
For volunteers, working in disadvantaged areas is also a life experience, a way to share and grow. |
