Receiving part of the body suspected to be of a fisherman from Nghe An at the site of the sunken ship
(Baonghean.vn) - While searching for 9 missing Nghe An sailors on Bach Long Vy island, rescuers discovered the lower half of a human body at the site of the sunken ship.

Why has the search for 9 Nghe An fishermen and their sunken fishing boat yielded no results?
(Baonghean.vn) - The group of divers could only dive 48m before having to return because they did not have enough oxygen tanks, while the location of the sunken fishing boat was at a depth of 65m, so they could not approach the fishing boat and find the fishermen.
On the morning of July 22, the Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center Region 1 handed over part of the body found in the area where fishing boat NA 95899 TS crashed to the Border Guard Station of Cua Lo - Ben Thuy port (Nghe An Border Guard) and related agencies.

According to the Regional Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center 1, at around 11:30 a.m. on July 21, while using a net to search for fishermen on fishing boat NA 95899 TS that collided with the Pacific 01 transport ship and sank near Bach Long Vy Island, authorities discovered part of a human body right in the area where the fishing boat sank. Immediately afterwards, the rescue ship brought the body to Cua Lo port to determine whether the victim was one of the 9 missing fishermen or not.
Mr. Nguyen Van Uoc - Chairman of Tien Thuy Commune People's Committee (Quynh Luu) said that on July 21, the government also received the above information from the authorities and is bringing part of the body to Cua Lo port to carry out procedures to take DNA samples to verify the identity.
"Previously, the rescue team also discovered two fishermen's bodies at the site of the sunken ship and brought them ashore to collect DNA samples. On the morning of July 18, relatives of the nine missing crew members were all present at Nghe An General Hospital to carry out the procedures for collecting samples, so this time they did not have to go in but just waited for the test results," Mr. Nguyen Van Uoc added.

Previously, at around 8:48 a.m. on July 17, rescue ship SAR 411 discovered and brought a body on board that was missing its arms, legs, and face, making identification difficult. At 12:45 p.m. on the same day, SAR 411 continued to discover and bring a body on board at the location where the NA 95899 TS ship had an accident.
It is known that the two fishermen's bodies found by authorities on July 17 have been sampled for DNA testing, but the results are still pending.
Thus, after nearly 1 month of the incident where the NA 95899 TS boat of fishermen Quynh Luu sank at Bach Long Vy island, causing 1 death and 9 missing fishermen, the authorities have only identified 1 victim, and 3 victims are still unidentified.
