Receiving part of the body suspected to be of a fisherman from Nghe An at the site of the sunken ship
(Baonghean.vn) - While searching for 9 missing Nghe An sailors on Bach Long Vy island, rescuers discovered the lower half of a human body at the location of the sunken ship.

Why has the search for 9 Nghe An fishermen and their sunken fishing boat yielded no results?
(Baonghean.vn) - The group of divers could only dive down to 48 meters before having to return because they did not have enough oxygen tanks, while the location of the sunken fishing boat was at a depth of 65 meters, so they could not approach the fishing boat and find the fishermen.
On the morning of July 22, the Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center Region 1 handed over part of the body found in the area where fishing boat NA 95899 TS crashed to the Border Guard Station of Cua Lo - Ben Thuy port (Nghe An Border Guard) and related agencies.

According to the Regional Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center No. 1, at around 11:30 a.m. on July 21, while using a net to search for fishermen on fishing boat NA 95899 TS that collided with the transport ship Pacific 01 and sank near Bach Long Vy Island, the authorities discovered part of a human body right in the area where the fishing boat sank. Immediately afterward, the rescue ship brought the body to Cua Lo port to determine whether the victim was one of the 9 missing fishermen or not.
Mr. Nguyen Van Uoc - Chairman of Tien Thuy Commune People's Committee (Quynh Luu) said that on July 21, the government also received the above information from the authorities and is bringing part of the body to Cua Lo port to carry out procedures to take DNA samples to verify the identity.
"Previously, the rescue team also discovered two fishermen's bodies at the site of the sunken ship and brought them ashore to take DNA samples. On the morning of July 18, relatives of the nine missing crew members were all present at Nghe An General Hospital to carry out the sample collection procedures, so this time they did not have to go in but just waited for the test results," Mr. Nguyen Van Uoc added.
