(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 7, the Nghe An Newspaper Party Committee held a review of the Party building work in 2012, deployed tasks for 2013 and announced the results of collective and individual self-criticism in the spirit of Resolution 4 of the Central Committee on "Some urgent issues in current Party building work".

During the past year, the Party Committee has developed a plan and proposed measures to strengthen management to direct the good implementation of political tasks, especially professional tasks. In particular, it has directed well the key contents such as: Implementing the project to improve the quality of Nghe An Newspaper in the period of 2011-2015 approved by the Provincial Party Committee; Continuing to innovate the content and form of the newspaper, promoting the publication and use of the newspaper; Managing reporters, training collaborators, and paying royalties. Starting from January 1, 2013, the newspaper organized the publication of the 7th issue; then the thematic pages were innovated in selecting and adding more suitable columns; from March 15, 2012, page 2 of Nghe An Daily Newspaper was improved.

In 2012, Nghe An Newspaper published 308 daily issues, 52 weekend issues, and 3 special issues. Nearly 14,000 copies were distributed/issue, an increase of nearly 3,000 copies/issue compared to 2011. Focusing on improving the orientation, updating, and diversity of Nghe An electronic newspaper, the average number of visits reached over 60,000 visits/day, double the peak in 2011.

The Party Committee focuses on directing the innovation of management and operation of the Party Central Committee and specialized departments; develops monthly propaganda plans, organizes the implementation of many hot topics with great influence and profound impact, contributing to promoting socio-economic development, practically and effectively. In addition, ensuring democracy, transparency in planning as well as in selecting and promoting cadres. The Party Committee also regularly pays attention to and takes care of building political organizations in the agency. Actively fosters outstanding members for the Party, has introduced 03 outstanding members to the Party, 02 outstanding masses to attend Party target classes.

In addition to performing professional tasks well, the Party Committee has paid attention to promoting emulation movements, implementing "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh", humanitarian and charitable activities, and funds for the poor. Notably, it has done a good job of taking care of Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Tong, donating 4 cows to support the poor commune of Xieng My, Tuong Duong district, with 4 cows worth 40 million VND, supporting the family of the late reporter Nguyen Ngoc Duc with 20 million VND, helping the kindergarten in the mountainous commune of Thanh Thinh, Thanh Chuong with 12 ceiling fans, coordinating with Intermex Company to give nearly 100 gifts worth 30 million VND to the poor in the resettlement area of ​​Ban Ve Hydropower Plant, coordinating with Bac A Bank and TH Joint Stock Company to give a scholarship worth 40 million VND to Le Thi Van, Chau Binh commune, Quy Chau district, and successfully organizing the 16th Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth and Children Football Tournament.

The Party Committee has also developed a plan and seriously implemented the Resolution of the 4th Central Committee, Session XI on "Some urgent issues in Party building today". Directed and organized self-criticism and criticism within the Party Committee, the Central Committee, cadres and Party members seriously, frankly, sincerely, openly, on the basis of following the correct procedures and regulations, which were assessed as meeting the requirements.

In 2013, the Nghe An Newspaper Party Committee determined to focus on leading the improvement of content and quality of publications. Organized a plan from January 1, 2013 to publish an additional Sunday issue, increase the daily Nghe An newspaper by 2 pages to 8 pages, implement the project to upgrade and comprehensively innovate the electronic Nghe An newspaper.
